Raids in Parkersburg and Vienna Wednesday netted five arrests.
In recent years, police have been concerned with meth, but while those raids were mostly successful, the end result is that would-be drug offenders may have gone back to illegal drugs of the past, namely cocaine.
"With the potential for fire and explosion, the cocaine is certainly no danger," says Parkersburg Police Chief Bob Newell. "With methamphetemenes, you have a concern about chemicals breeding fires, so it makes a difference on how you enter a residence with a search warrant."
Those arrested were arraigned Wednesday in Wood County Magistrate Court, and one Wednesday night is free on bond.
