Health officials in Washington County are addressing concerns about the H1N1 virus.

Washington County and Marietta health commissioners held a press conference Thursday morning to provide updates on local swine flu cases and vaccinations.

They say there are reported cases in every school district, but only three or four confirmed cases in the county.

Health officials are encouraging folks to get the H1N1 vaccination when it's available.

"Even though your child may have been sick with an influenza like illness, you should still consider the vaccine for that child because it may or may not have been H1N1," Kathleen Meckstroth, Washington Co. Health Commissioner, said.

Meckstroth says they've ordered large amounts of the H1N1 vaccine and will inform the public as soon as it's available.
