Thursday may have been a warm one, but that cold weather is right around the corner, and lots of people are getting their homes ready for winter.
Washington-Morgan Community Action did a weatherization demonstration in Marietta Thursday.
The event helped show what can be done to stop air leakages in homes and make them more energy efficient.
The demonstration was not only educational, but will also be a major benefit for some homeowners.
"They're blowing the side walls full of insulation. This home had no insulation at all, so the air leakage, which is the conditioned air and the outside air mixing was incredible," Darla Johnson, director of housing and transportation, said.
The Home Weatherization Assistance Program is designed to improve the health and safety of low income homes.
