DuPont Documents Debate

A judge says "no" to DuPont's request to keep some documents classified in the C-8 case.

A company attorney said Thursday the documents in question involved opinions and not facts about the ongoing issue over contamination by the chemical DuPont uses.

DuPont says that information was "inadvertently" released to attorneys who have filed a lawsuit against the company.

Wood County Circuit Judge George Hill also ruled that DuPont took few, if any, precautions to keep the documents from being released to the plaintiffs' attorneys.

The suit, saying C-8 has contaminated local water supplies, is due to go on trial this fall.
