A Multicultural Christmas Celebration

It may not have felt like the holiday season outside Sunday, but inside the Blennerhassett Museum, Christmas was in the air.

The museum had its annual "Trees of our Heritage" event Sunday afternoon.

For two hours the public had a free pass to come look at the dozens of Christmas trees displayed all over the building.

Each tree represents a certain country or theme, such as "a walk in the woods."

Visitors also had the opportunity to taste different foods from around the world, and even catch a glimpse of Father Christmas.

"The children particularly love the different trees. They like the way they're decorated, and not necessarily concerned about being authentic. They're just interested in coming to see the different trees and the way they're decorated," Karen Swiney with the Friends of the Blennerhassett said.

If you didn't get a chance to stop by Sunday, the trees will remain in the museum until January.
