Mid-Ohio Valley golfers will be teeing off on Wednesday for a great cause.
That's the date of the 2002 WTAP Charity Golf Tournament.
Proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Parkersburg and the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, based in Marietta.
Such money is desperately needed by the animal shelters to fund education efforts on caring for pets.
Some of the proceeds will also be used for maintenance and improvements at the facilities.
The tournament is at the Woodridge Plantation in Mineral Wells.
People can sign up to play right up to the 11 a.m. tee time.
