It's a slow process as officials go over challenged ballots from last week's Wood County primary.
The most closely watched race from last week is the Republican primary, which would determine the next Wood County sheriff.
No opposition party candidate filed. Unofficially, Sheriff Steve Greiner edged out former sheriff and current County Commissioner Ken Merritt by three votes.
The canvass board includes the County Commission and members of the County Clerk's Office. However, Merritt, who is one of the three commissioners, decided not to take part in the process.
The canvass ended Monday afternoon, but will continue Tuesday morning.
