An American Legion post commander involved in a controversy over flag disposal has a new title. That as a result of an incident we first reported this week.
Paul Logsdon supervised the cleanup of the Legion Post 15 building Tuesday night, during which several boxes of worn flags were disposed of in a trash dumpster.
Post 15 club manager Ron Ross tells us Logsdon submitted his resignation to the post membership, but that the membership decided not to accept it.
Logsdon was later elected finance officer, and Bud Thomas was chosen to be the new post commander.
Post 15 officials have apologized for the improper disposal of the old flags, which were being stored away for a formal disposal ceremony to be held June 14.
