For everyone still buying Christmas gifts, there's only a little more than a week left, but time may not be the only pressure this year. Money is also an issue.

As those purse strings tighten, many are flocking to thrift stores this holiday season.

Officials at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Marietta say this is the busiest holiday season the store has seen.

Those who continue to shop at regular department stores, say you can save a lot of money this year. You just have to keep your eye out for the bargains.

"We've been shopping for a few days now, trying to get to the last minute gifts we need. The bargains this year seem to be pretty good, so we're finding a lot of good deals," Tammy Moore, a Kmart shopper, said.

According to some local craft stores, many people are saving money this year by making gifts.
