A Parkersburg girl was featured before a national television audience Thursday.
Bob Watkins was among those watching as his daughter, Judy, spoke at a leadership summit televised on C-SPAN-Two, on the future of conservatism in America.
Judy Watkins, a Parkersburg high graduate, just completed her freshman year at Marietta College, studying in its Leadership and Communications Department.
"She's always wanted to be involved in government," says Watkins' father. "She's training to be a translator at the ambassadorial level. So this is good training for her."
At Thursday’s conference, Judy spoke to eagle forum organizer Phyllis Schlafly, who also spoke last year at Marietta College.
