Drivers crossing the Memorial Bridge will soon have to fork out a little extra change.
A trip across the bridge has been 35 cents since 1974, but starting Monday, February 1 at 10 p.m. that price is going up to 50 cents.
The toll hike was approved at Tuesday night's Parkersburg City Council meeting, and drivers are already full of questions.
Toll booth operators say the main concern is tickets that have already been purchased, but officials say those tickets will still be honored.
If you'd like to cut the cost a little, you can purchase tickets in advance for 40 cents rather than 50.
All the money collected is set to go towards maintaining the bridge. The cost of repairs and maintenance is estimated to be more than $10 million over the next seven years.
