A Washington County man had his bond set Tuesday at $100,000 after his arrest for conspiracy to commit murder.
The Major Crimes Task Force arrested Warren Garner Monday night in Marietta.
Detectives say Garner told a family member he was going to kill an Ohio adult probation officer.
Investigators listened to a recorded phone conversation between Garner and the family member, and say Garner apparently wanted to shoot the APO because of his daughter possibly going to prison.
"The suspect has a daughter who is on probation through the adult parole office in Washington County," says detective Mark Johnson. "There's a possibility his daughter may be sent to prison for violatons. He has apparently become upset over these violations and the fact that she may be sent to prison."
Garner is currently being held in the Washington County Jail. If he is released, he is prohibited from having contact with adult probation or law enforcement officers.
