A man charged in connection to a murder case that happened more than three years ago is now set to go to trial.
Nathan Davis was charged in the death of Roy Matheny, which happened just after Christmas in 2006.
Tuesday morning, Davis was expected to plead guilty to first degree robbery, leading to Matheny's death, but that plan changed before entering the courtroom.
"He had been scheduled this morning to enter a plea before the court, and indicated to the court that he no longer wished to enter that plea and wanted to proceed to trial," Jason Wharton, Wood County prosecutor, said.
Davis' co defendant, Justin Moran, is scheduled to go to trial next week for Matheny's death. However, a status hearing set for both men Wednesday morning will determine whether that trial will proceed or if a new trial will be set.
