Ohio Governor Ted Strickland is scheduled to make a stop in the pioneer city Thursday morning.
The Governor will visit Thermo Fisher Scientific in Marietta.
During his stop, Strickland will address the workers on the production floor and also get a first hand demonstration of the facilities new one million dollar laser metal cutting tool.
Governor Strickland will talk about recent job growth initiatives, which have helped Thermo Fisher Scientific to hire 116 new workers
That is in addition to its existing 400 workers.
Just last week, Ohio Congressman Charlie Wilson visited the site.
