A growing "green collar" workforce could play a major role in bringing more jobs to Southeastern Ohio.
TechGROWTH Ohio met with business owners and entrepreneurs at Marietta College Friday.
The seminar was about using clean energy to start small businesses and help them grow.
Keynote speaker Congressman Charlie Wilson hopes to bring more jobs to the area by using energy resources and programs to help fund these small businesses.
"Small business can be the exciting engine for business growth, but if nobody gets it connected to where the money is and how we can make it possible for people to put small businesses together, it won't be a reality," Congressman Wilson (OH-6), said.
Participants used the opportunity to meet with peers and business leaders about bringing more clean energy into the workplace, and the benefits to going green.
