Being a river city, bragging rights for the best state is a common competition, and Friday was no different.
For five hours Mountaineers bled gold and blue while Buckeyes bled scarlet and gray.
Friday the Marietta Church of God held a blood drive to see which state would take the title of biggest and best blood donors.
"It's a little bit of friendly competition," said Rev. Jeff Eason, the church's pastor.
If you weren't able to donate blood Friday, there's always Saturday. The location is the Keystone Blood Center on 8th and Market Streets in Parkersburg.
