A Parkersburg community is still waiting for answers about a homicide that happened last week.
40-year-old Rebecca Hoyler was killed Tuesday in her 16th street home.
Few details have been released and no arrests have been made. However, Parkersburg Police Chief, Joe Martin, says investigators are close to solving the case.
He says certain details, like names of suspects, aren't being released yet because of the investigation.
"You get one shot at it basically and you don't want to show all your cards at once. But as the case develops or once an arrest is imminent or pending, or once the arrest is made; more information can be released at that time," Chief Martin said.
He also said he's confident that once those details are released, fear will subside for people living in the area where the homicide happened.
