A popular summer activity returns to Marietta for the season. Music on the Levee kicks off Friday evening.
The Lion's Club and other volunteers work the entire summer raising money for the community.
Some of the volunteers spent Friday preparing the area, and getting ready to sell their famous ice cream cones and sandwiches.
"Every dollar we get from the public goes back into the public for eye glasses, see and eye dogs, hearing aids, diabetes, blood mobile and just all sorts of different activities," Charlotte Jordan, a volunteer, said.
The program runs every evening accept Mondays, from about 3 - 9 p.m. weather permitting.
