Early voting in Ohio wrapped up Monday, and Washington County is now ready for the big day.
Ohio's primary election day is Tuesday. Many voters took advantage of early voting by either mailing in ballots or voting at the courthouse.
However, those voting Tuesday will need to go to their precinct polls, and Monday's high water made delivering equipment to those precincts challenging.
"We had some flooding in the Independence and Lawrence Township areas. I think there were four different spots where there was water over the road. So, it made a little change of route. We may be delivering late tonight, but the truck's pretty much back on schedule at this point," Peggy Byers, Washington County Board of Elections director, said.
Polls are open Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Officials say voters should be sure to bring identification.
