Another City Perk Cafe is the target of an armed robbery. The robbery happened at 9:55 p.m. Friday night.
Wood County Detective Brent Gandee says the suspect held up the new City Perk Cafe in Central just north of Vienna on Route 14. Gandee says the suspect fled the scene in his car with an undisclosed amount of cash.
About a dozen state, county, city officers and K-9 units combed the area and located the suspect’s yellow jacket near the Grand Central Mall and the suspects dark mask feet away from the Central City Perk Cafe. The establishment has only been up and running about three months.
Hiram Rebholz lives next door to the lottery establishment. He says there are usually not a lot of cars there until midnight. He tells WTAP News that he's not surprised it was robbed, he thought it would be a matter of time.
Wood County authorities have released a description of the suspect. He’s a white male, 5'8", 160 lbs. Getaway car: possibly a sport utility vehicle
