Sunday is West Virginia Day, and some are getting an early start to the festivities.
Dozens came through the Vienna Public Library Friday for its annual West Virginia Day Celebration.
The event included live folk music, activities for all ages and lots of prizes.
Organizers say it's a great way for the community to take a look into the past.
"It's unfortunate that a lot of people don't know their heritage or their history. They tend to live in 'now,' and forget the past," Mary Layfield, with the library, said.
They decided to have the celebration Friday because the library is closed Sundays.
