In today's world of technology, information about basically anything can be found right at your fingertips, and the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau is taking advantage of that.
The CVB launched the state's first interactive tourism map system on its web site Tuesday morning.
The system features popular attractions like parks and trails, shopping and even a self-guided tour of downtown Parkersburg.
CVB president Steven Nicely says the new feature will benefit tourists as well as those already living in the area.
"If they have guests coming in and they want to find out what they can do this weekend; maybe they want to go out and hike a trail or maybe they want to look at some of the unique shops or some of the attractions. This will give all the information to them in one place," Nicely said.
The CVB plans to continue updating the site with even more attractions and features. You can check it out yourself at www.greaterparkersburg.com.
