Doing more with less isn't always the best way to get the job done. That's why the Washington County Sheriff's Office is requesting two more dispatchers.
Washington County commissioners are in contact with the county administrator to see how much the extra positions would cost, and where the money would come from.
Commissioner Sam Cook says they're looking to see if at least one dispatch job can be funded.
"Whatever the need is, we're going to properly man the dispatching center. They've been doing a good job," Cook said.
Cook says the budget is already set for the year, so if the county does hire more dispatchers, the money will have to be taken out of other departments.
