Parkersburg, W.Va. (AP) -- Parkersburg Police have arrested a teenage fugitive who was attending a Fourth of July festival with his family at a city park.
Parkersburg Police Sgt. Greg Nangle says 19-year-old Jeremy Allen of parkersburg was caught Sunday night after a brief chase.
He was charged with escape and transported to the North Central Regional Jail.
Jail records show Allen also faces charges including grand larceny, destruction of property, obstructing police officers and fleeing.
The records didn't indicate whether Allen had a lawyer.
Allen and another teenager escaped a Tucker County detention facility on June 29.
Allen's 16-year-old accomplice was caught several hours later after their stolen car wrecked.
