Three people went to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a two vehicle accident slowed traffic on Emerson Avenue.
The crash happened a little before 4 p.m. near the Red Carpet Inn.
Wood County Sheriff's Deputies say Beverly resident Ryan Danner was driving northbound when he came upon stopped traffic, and was unable to stop in time.
He swerved into the southbound lane, where deputies say he hit a vehicle driven by Kylie Pickens, of Marietta.
Danner was sent to Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, where he is in fair condition.
Pickens and her passenger, Grace Mantilla of Sandusky, were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where they were treated and released.
Deputies say none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
Danner was cited for failure to maintain control.
