The perjury case against the mother of a child who died last fall is going to a Washington County grand jury.
Alicia Hanson said on the witness stand last week she did not kill her two-year-old daughter Felicia, but that came after a Marietta attorney received a letter with Hanson's name on it, in which Hanson claimed to have caused the infant's death.
Janet McKim is the attorney for Leo Guidry, who last Friday was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for killing Felicia last November. McKim is seeking a new trial for Guidry based in part on the admission in letter she received.
Hanson's preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday afternoon was dismissed.
