There will be a new look to the Washington County Fair when it opens Saturday morning.
This is the fair's first year in its new livestock barn, which was completed recently after five months of construction.
The 24,000 square foot structure will be used for the Junior Fair Livestock Show, which closes out the fair Tuesday night, and for housing the livestock exhibits.
"So far the comments have been very positive," says fair board manager Richard Henthorn. "We've heard from people who were in Noble County, and they've seen our facility and they're pleased that we have the new cattle barn."
Other fair highlights include the OSTPA sanctioned tractor pull Monday night, and the annual Demolition Derby Tuesday night.
Things kick off with the fair parade at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
