One more task remains at soldier field, and it's not an easy one.
Workers were up before dawn Monday beginning the cleanup of the debris left behind by the thousands of spectators.
Most of it was swept to the track surrounding the field, just in time for big red football practice to get under way.
“In the fall, when the leaves come off the trees, when we have wind, we clean it up then," says Jim Hughes, a PHS employee. "We do it every week during football season."
By afternoon, volunteers were able to get the field cleaned up, and it will be ready for athletic events to take place this week.
