Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio democratic Gov. Ted Strickland and republican challenger John Kasich have agreed to meet for two debates in the run-up to this fall's election.
The evening debates will be held Sept. 14 in Columbus and October 7 in Toledo. The exact locations have not yet been determined.
The plans were announced Wednesday by the two campaigns and a consortium of the daily newspapers in the state's eight largest media markets.
The debates will be available for broadcast on television stations throughout the state.
