A Day To Honor First Responders Of The 9/11 Attacks

Over at the Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department, area first responders were at the station to not only attend their Continuing Education class but to honor the victims of 9-11.

An appreciation service was held for people to remember those first responders who were involved in the attacks.

Those attending the class also won door prizes donated by the community.

"It was a very important time for anybody in the first responder field, any kind of EMS, fire and police and it can be very sobering, too many lives were lost. And the Continuing Education keeps us on our toes," says Region 5 West Virginia EMS TSN Program Coordinator, Rocki Louden.

Air-Evac, Resa Five, and the Wood County Firefighters Association were among the sponsors for the Continuing Education course.
