UPDATE 4/8/2014 4:10 PM

The driver of a water tank truck died after it flipped over the edge of Route 50 in Deerwalk Tuesday morning.

Wood County crash investigators say it all started when Beverly Mace of Deerwalk didn't stop her Buick station wagon at a stop sign and made a left turn into the path of the truck.

Mace and her passenger were hospitalized.

They've since been released

We're told the truck driver was from northern West Virginia and was working for McCammon Trucking.

State police say a recent increase in local drilling is putting more water tank trucks on Route 50.

They say drivers aren't used to sharing the road with these trucks.
