A Gallipolis man who sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 faces at least 15 years in prison.
65-year-old Stephen Bush pleaded guilty Monday to one count of rape.
He was then sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after 15 years.
Bush was arrested in November 2012 by the Ohio Attorney General's Crimes Against Children Unit.
Agents say he sexually assaulted a friend's child.
If released he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Police say he raped a 9-year old girl.
Agents working with Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine's Crimes Against Children Initiative arrested Stephen Bush from Gallipolis.
Attorney General Dewine says it all happened between August and September of 2012.
He says Bush was a trusted friend of the victim's family and that he violated her in one of the worst ways possible.
Bush faces a rape charge.
He's at the Gallia County Jail.
