Bank employees come to work to find a man hiding in a closet, now he's behind bars.
Athens County Sheriff Patrick Kelly says Community Bank employees came to work at 8:00 Saturday morning to find a man hiding in a closet next to the teller's station.
The employee says she shut the closet door, and ran out of the bank with other employees shouting for help.
Amesville Firemen, who were preparing for a festival near the bank, heard the screams and ran to help.
Firemen secured the bank area as they waited for deputies, but the suspect already fled.
When deputies arrived, they saw a person running into the woods.
An hour and a half later, 25 year old Carl Davis of McConnelsville was arrested. He's charged with attempted robbery and is currently behind bars.
Police say Davis cut through the ceiling of the bank to get inside.
A second suspect is identified as an accomplice and warrants will be issued.
