Breaking Ground For A New Home And A Fresh Start

The Wood County Habitat For Humanity blesses a family Sunday afternoon with a groundbreaking ceremony for their new home.

The home is being built for Crystal Nottingham and her family. It was a bittersweet event for this deserving family. At the ceremony, the family released balloons, in memory of Nottingham's late husband.

These events are exciting for both the families and Habitat For Humanity.

"It's always a great feeling to see another family be excited about the process of their house, then in a few months, be able to move into that house," says Alvin Phillips, Executive Director.

This groundbreaking is part of the 25th Anniversary of Habitat For Humanity of West Virginia.
