High school students and brides-to-be head to a one of a kind bridal and prom event.
"We have a prom and bridal show going on this afternoon at the Lafayette. It's something we've been planning for well over a year. It's a labor of love, there's vendors of all types in categories for our brides as well as our prom individuals to check out to use if you will," says V96.9 FM Owner, Sam Yoho.
Local vendors showcase their products hoping brides will consider staying in the valley for their big day.
"It means a lot to me, it means a lot to my customers, they love seeing this and then they come in the following Monday after the show and look at all the gowns that we have shown here," added
Faye Smith of Faye's Boutique.
"Of course, the Lafayette Hotel is one of the prime wedding spots for the area. We're a full service hotel so we can service the hotel rooms, the meals, the banquet, your dance, everything," replied Lafayette Hotel Director of Sales, Christina Thrasher.
The expo features a prom and bridal show displaying some of the seasons hottest fashions.
Models at the show enjoy being a helping hand to those planning their special occasion.
"I just really enjoy it and it's fun for everybody and I think it gives people some good ideas they know they're looking for before they go out and just do it," said Melissa Johnston.
"It really means a lot to me because there's so many gorgeous girls up there and I'm just happy to be one to be able to do this," added Savannah Horton.
Sharing those ideas on a day they'll cherish forever.
"We take so much time putting it together. we have each girl and guy, here escort, walk out and we describe their gowns, the manufacture of the gowns and also describe the tuxedos and how they're made and all their vest and ties we carry."
Over 28 vendors were in attendance at the expo.
Door prizes were given out to those present.
