Camden Clark Memorial Hospital and the Mid-Ohio Valley chapter of the Red Cross are teaming up for two programs.

Hope Works is a campaign started by CCMC.

The hospital is working with four different groups and announced the first partnership Tuesday. A check was presented to the MOV chapter of the Red Cross for 15- thousand dollars.

Hope Works stands for the commitment to Health, building Opportunities, creating Partnerships, and strengthening Education.

"This is a multi-year commitment to the American Red Cross. These folks, like we are, here 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. In recognition with their service and our interest in building a partnership," CCMC President and CEO Mike King says.

The Red Cross is also gaining the hospital as a partner in another effort. Ready 365 is a program designated to get the community prepared before a natural disaster strikes.

"If there are people who need oxygen that we are aware of, we have the partnership and relationship with Camden Clark that they can readily assist those," says Sharon Callow with the MOV chapter of the American Red Cross.

CCMC is the first business in West Virginia to be on board for this program with a local Red Cross chapter.
