Dozens of participants laced up their walking shoes Sunday afternoon in Marietta to see the end to hunger.
The CROP Hunger Walk aimed to raise money and awareness on the hunger issues that effects over one billion people worldwide. Money raised by the communities reacting to overcome poverty will help those suffering from hunger in the Marietta area as well as across the globe.
"25% of the money goes to our local food pantry and the rest goes to hunger projects around the country and around the world," says Crop Walk organizer, Sara Lamb.
This year the CROP Walk raised over $1,300.
