Parkersburg is picked to participate in a study aimed at improving transportation and development.
The West Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects chose the city for the study.
It will focus on parts of Camden Avenue and Division Street on southside.
The goal is to bring businesses to the area and make roads more cyclist and pedestrian friendly.
Recommendations will be presented to the city in late December or early January 2014.
