Citizens In Action. That's the name of a Wood County Schools student organization touring the magistrate court Tuesday.

Edison Middle School students got to see an arraignment first hand. A teacher also posed as a suspect under arrest.

Magistrate Robin Waters quizzed the students on their knowledge of the courts.

This group is all about keeping kids informed of the legal system and teaching them the importance of getting involved in the community.

"Some adults don't vote. They don't get involved in local organizations. They don't get involved as adults, and if they can see the point of this at a younger age and see how important it is and all the opportunities they have out there to get involved and be part of their town," Curriculum Coordinator, Kim Matthews says.
