It was a day for collectors down at the Washington County Fairgrounds with the Marietta Glass and Antique Show.
Shoppers from all around came to the antique show in search of rare treasure and unique finds. One browser at the sale told WTAP she shops for antiques in Ohio because she can always find unique items at a fraction of the cost.
"Well, I am in Ohio because my husband is from Caldwell and he is going to his reunion," says Sandra Evilsizer. "I love to go antique shopping up here because things are more plentiful and they are cheaper in Ohio than they are in Tennessee."
One shopper said he comes the show for rare Fenton Art Glass goods and adds now that Fenton is closing their traditional glass production, he may not have reason to visit the show anymore.
