The Wood County Commission is aiming to improve the lives of Mid-Ohio Valley residents by hosting a series of public speakers on a wide variety of topics.
Doctor Wayne Dunn says the first few speakers in the series will be focused on energy and technology, and how residents can better their homes, lives, and even lighten their financial burdens by investing in energy efficiency. Commissioner Dunn says making time to go to the meetings will pay off for residents in the long run.
"We're hoping that people will come away with the realization that it is to their benefit to partake in some of these programs," says Dr. Dunn "If they make an investment in their house it will be far better than Wall Street and almost a guaranteed return."
The first speaker is Jim Hunt. You can see him Thursday at 11 A.M. or 7:30 P.M. The meetings will be held in City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Parkersburg city building.
