It was training day in Marietta as the Fire Department refreshed their knowledge of confined spaces Tuesday.
Once a year, instructors from Cleveland State University help the Marietta Fire Department brush up on confinement and hazardous material training.
The training sessions are mandatory and give all those involved a chance to create scenarios that will help them in real life situations.
"Every year, OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) requires and annual refresher," says Cleveland State Instructor David Ware. "So they can get all the equipment out, review the systems, how we are going to access the victims, how we are going to package them and how we are going to get them out of the space."
Ware says the Marietta firefighters passed their refresher course with flying colors.
