The event has been talked about all summer but now everyone is going to have to wait, just a little longer, for an even bigger treat.
Not one, but two dare devils are coming to Marietta.
Robbie Knievel is scheduled to jump across the Ohio River later this summer.
His management says they are postponing the event a couple of weeks because they have invited another dare devil, Rick Wallenda.
Rick is the cousin of Nik Wallenda, who completed a tightrope walk near the Grand Canyon just about one month ago.
Event coordinator, Wei Sheng says the two dare devils want to do this to honor their families together.
"What a great way to honor the two families together and to be reunited in historical Marietta and also to make history again for this area. And also Rick said that he would want to stand on his head on the high wire in the middle of the Ohio River in honor of both families," said Wei Sheng, Event Coordinator.
Wei says the tentative date for this event is now the weekend of October 19th.
He says from Wednesday to Sunday there will be different events and activities.
