Another local story of supporting people in our community.
One local food drive Saturday is expected to help hundreds of struggling families.
The Gospel Mission Food Pantry filled the Marietta Armory stairs with food.
Like most area food pantries, Gospel Mission is always in need of donations.
So one family came up with a great idea.
They set a goal, putting their cause right in the public eye by filling the Armory stairs with food.
"It could be us. Who knows what tomorrow brings. I think whenever you can help.. because people have always helped me in my life, and I'm sure they've helped you. We're all here! And we're excited, we're happy, we praise the Lord for this day," says Sarah Dye, food drive organizer.
All of the donations go to the Gospel Mission.
The food pantry is open to anyone in need every Wednesday.
