Bringing a brighter smile to kids across the Valley, one scholarship at a time. Orthodontist Dr. Scott Eckels removed the braces of his first scholarship recipient.
Jessie Broadwater started treatment in October of 2010 and now she has a fully transformed smile.
It's all part of Dr. Eckels' Smile for a Lifetime Foundation. The Foundation offers scholarships for orthodontic treatment for children and teens. All orthodontic work is donated by Dr. Eckels.
Jessie says her new smile has changed her life, it has also inspired her to be an orthodontist.
Dr. Eckels gives 24 scholarships a year to qualifying students. He has given 40 so far.
