Excess Levy Election November 23

November 23rd.

That's the day Wood County Schools will be seeking a renewal of its excess levy.

Officials from the school system and the clerk's office discussed that date with the commission Monday.

Wood County Schools says that's the latest date the renewal can be approved, so that money can be added to next year's annual budget.

"The board of education will reimburse the county for all final expenses once they see what those expenses are," says County Clerk Jamie Six. "We just front those expenses, pay the poll workers, pay the printing of the ballot, and then we send the board a bill to get reimbursed, back to the county."

The election will be the first one taking place in Wood County, under the consolidation of precincts approved earlier this year.
