More than 30 participants competed in the pageant with age groups ranging from 1-year-old to adult.

The $35 entrance fee benefits the Family Crisis Intervention Center in Parkersburg.

This non-profit works with domestic violence victims. This is the first pageant they've held, and with much success it may become a yearly fundraiser.

"The money is funds that we can use for anything. A lot of times at our shelter we have things we need to use as transportation, bus tickets, anything that they might need, prescriptions. So this money we can use toward utilities. You know anything we might need it for. We can just put it in the pot and use it," says Emily Larkins.
