Frontier Telephone Service Back

A statement released by Wood County 9-1-1 Director Randy Lowe announces the restoration of phone services.

"We have been notified by Frontier that the cause of the telephone interruption was a fiber cut in Clendenin, WV. It has now been repaired and for those that were affected by the interruption of service, they should now have service, including the ability to contact 9-1-1 in Wood and Wirt Counties. All volunteer fire departments in Wood and Wirt Counties have been dismissed from their fire stations. "

Frontier telephone service is experiencing a service interruption. That means some may not be able to access Wood County 9-1-1.

Wood County 911 has called out all area fire departments in Wood and Wirt Counties. If you have an emergency and still can't get through to 9-1-1 call your local fire department.

If you still can't, call the fire department you can report your emergency in person. We will let you know as soon as service is restored.
