Community members at the Downtown Farmers Market helped those in need Friday afternoon with a community food drive.

Organizers of the Continuum of Care food drive say food pantries are a little low on goods and the event helped four local agencies collect some added supplies. They add that no matter what the need, the community always steps up and provides much needed assistance to those who require it.

"We have an excellent community that supports the continuum," says Shannon Morgan, Wood Co. FRN Director. "And the Continuum brings a bunch of agencies together to make sure services are being served very well."

Morgan says she was pleased with today's turnout and looks forward to next farmers market food drive.
