A fire that claimed the life of a Belpre toddler two months ago remains under investigation.
Ohio Fire Marshal Public information officer, Shane Cartmill said the case has been turned over to the Washington County Prosecutor's Office.
Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Rings said it will go before a grand jury early next year.
He said the investigation is into the circumstances surrounding two-year-old Bianca Jackson's death.
In October the Ohio Fire Marshal's Office ruled the cause of the fire as accidental from a child playing with something like a match or a lighter.
Cartmill said Jackson's cause of death was smoke inhalation.
Authorities said the toddler's body was found inside the vacant Sixth Street house, which was completely destroyed by the fire, meanwhile the house connected on Florence Street had extensive damage.
Two adults and another child escaped from the fire.
